What Causes Chronic Cough And Tingling Sensation In The Chest?

I had an episode of a strangling non-productive cough today. I was trying to maintain regular breathing. As I continued to cough I had a sensation of electricity through my chest, torso and possibly upper arms. The electrical sensation lasted several seconds. This also occurred over a decade ago when I had bronchitis. Thanks for the query. I understamd your concern.
Dry &hacking cough is chractoristic of allergic cough with or without bronchitis.
Strong bout of cough with excessive stress to chest wall ,arm&upper abdominal wall make theseparts sore & painful.
But as you refer the pain with the electric sensation... it seems to be due to possible age wise bony weakness/ spondylitis /vitamine B12 defeciency.... irritating nerves suplying the parts .
*You need detailed physical examination & relevent investigations (cbc , serum B12,calcium,vitamin D/sputum culture,x ray chest& also xray spine ..) to find basic cause &specific treatment.
Pleade consult a chest physician
*self care-Take rest/have light nutritious diet - avoiding known allergens/ Drink ample of warm water/over the counter allergic cough syrup .. like Benadryl syrup can be taken/ hot pack to chest wall will offer sime relief.
