I ave year round allergies . This week I even have deep cough and a lot of yellow phlegm. My temperature is around 100.1 or 98.6. at night my throat is VERY dry and kind of sore. It is dry even down my throat. (usually not) and my mouth is VERY dry. I use a humidifier and take guafinisin.
2. It will be wise to consult a Chest specialist to get blood investigations and chest X-ray done for proper line of treatment, in the mean time:
- stay well hydrated to keep mucus thin - chest physiotherapy which produces vibration in the chest to help mucus move along the bronchial tubes - . Increase your fluid intake (warm water with lemon juice and honey) and avoid cold and constipating food (dairy products,sugar,wheat - take diet rich in sulphur (garlic,onion) which helps in relieving congestion and increase intake of herbal tea (Lime,ginger,Fenugreek) - Ayurveda 'Jal neti' is effective in such conditions. - Vitamin C rich diet is beneficial to increase the immunity.
