What Causes Chronic Cough Despite Taking Zithromax?
I finished a Z-pack for a sinus infection last Thursday. Friday I got worse. Really bad cough also. I called the doctor and she had me come in for a chest X-ray. Everything was okay. Saturday and Sunday ran a fever of 101.5. Went back to doctor on Monday and she said lungs sounded clear but coughing not any better. My doctor then prescribed Zithromax 500 mg - one pill a day for five days to help me get over this. isn t three days of 500 mg enough? On day three tonight and stomach feeling sick. Cough not any better either.
Hello dear Greetings Regarding your experience with persistent cough after a previous sinus infection following an intake of zithromax I am suggesting that you have developed an upper respiratory tract infection
In view of this please see a pulmonologist specialist for further clinical assessment as well as adequate drug prescription
Meanwhile you have to continue your prescribed zithromax to the appropriate dosage(5days) to enhance adequate bioavailabilty and efficiency
Please take some cough syrup pending your appointment
I hope this helps Regards and get well soonest
