What Causes Chronic Cough, Excessive Sneezing And Vomiting In An Infant?

Hi Doctor,My 4 months old kid is continuously coughing, sneezing and vomiting from the past 2 days, today it has become even worse, we could see water rolling of his eyes and his temperature was above 100, than we started giving P-125(1 dose-evening), still his body is hot! Besides we gave him Mucolite(1 dose-afternoon). He is still suffering with cough and fever. Could you please help me out!

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of chronic cough, excessive sneezing and vomiting which is due to upper respiratory tract infection leading to bronchitis/ granular pharyngitis. The symptoms can also occur due to digestion problem. I would suggest you to start with course of antibiotics and antiinflammatory medications. Your symptoms will resolve in 1 week. if symptoms keeps on persisting you should consult pediatrician and take proper treatment. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics ( amoxicillin or penicillin ) at least for 5 days along with decongestant. Avoid cold carbonated beverages.
