Hello, Thanks for your query on HCM As per your clinical history is concerned please follow like this - 1)Do a clinical examination by your Doctor [pulmonologist] and do few investigations like [Spirometry, chest X-ray, Arterial blood gas analysis and a CT scan]to know exact cause behind your problem. 2)Do take prescribed antibiotics as per your treating Doctor s advice and discuss combined inhalers like [Salmeterol and fluticasone] & oral steroids. 3)Do take other treatments after investigations only For prevention do like this - 1)Try to avoid smoking if possible make plan to quit it permanently. 2)Use a protective mask when you go outside to prevent dust expose.
