What Causes Chronic Diarrhea And Vomiting?

I have chronic diarrhea for last 24 hours. Every 20 minutes, so am afraid to fall asleep....causing big mess. L have thrown up twice. Is this the flu? Never had the flu ,where I had to go to bathroom every 20 minutes. I don’t want to go to urgent care if he’s going to tell me it’s the flu, and just rest. This is horrible! Movements are watery with just slight brown(tan)....could it be food poisoning? In either case what should I do? Thanks
