What Causes Chronic Diarrhea, Vomiting And Stomach Pain Upon Intake Of Bupropion?

My spouse just started taking Bupropion 150 mg. Tablets. He took the 1st. Tablet today. He is having chronic diarrhea, vomiting and stomach pain. But he also ate a catering service lunch today around noon. Could it be the me S or possibly food poisoning? He has had food poisoning before and says that s how he feels.

Hi,



Yes, Bupropion might cause diarrhea, vomiting and stomach pain. But you have mentioned that your husband was having chronic diarrhea, then I guess it might not be due to Bupropion or Food poisoning.



I suggest you to take the stool examination and its report will reveal the cause of diarrhea till then stop the drug and take electrolyte water. Consult your physician and start the drug with altered dose or altered drug. Your doubts are cleared.
