Hi Dear ,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of chronic dizziness, ringing in the ear and neck tightness which is commonly due to viral infection accompanied by flu like symptoms. I would suggest you to do gargles with warm saline water , drink plenty of fluid to keep yourself hydrated , take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain and inflammation and take over the counter antihistamine like benadryl. You should take plenty of fluids. Avoid outside and sharp spicy food. Usually virus complete its course , so drugs are given to relief symptoms. If symptoms persist or get worse then you should consult ENT specialist for proper examination and to rule out conditions like meniere's disease , acoustic neuroma , tinnitus and strep throat . Doctor may order blood test or throat swab test to confirm diagnosis . He/she may prescribe decongestants , antibiotics/antiviral depending upon your condition .

Hope your concern has been resolved.
