Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Chronic Earache Post Nasal Congestion?
I ve had an occasional earache since early January along with vertigo and a bit of sinus congestion. I ve seen my regular doctor and he saw no redness in my ear. I ve had no fever during this time. Lately the lymph system in my neck has been sore. Today, I ve noticed cramping in my jaw on the side of the earache when I eat sweet and/or salty foods. Might that be my salivary glands? I m seeing a periodontist next week about a possible problem in a lower back molar on that same side. However, neither that tooth nor the jawbone are painful at this time. The vertigo is gradually going away, though the earache is not. What might be the problem?
HI Well come to HCM Ear infection or inflammatory condition is very likely and this can be best treated with the medicine given below 1) Tab Betahistine 16 mg three times in day 2) Tab Acetaminophen 500 mg three times in da 3) Tab Ibuprofen 400 mg three times in day if the condition remains as it is then you need to see the ENT surgeon to rule out the ear infection and lesion if it is ever inside, hope this information helps, take care.
