Hello, My name is Jaxon, and l have a question regarding my father who is a survivor of stage 1 squamous cell carcinoma that was contained in his tonsils. He had surgery to remove his left tonsil and some of the surrounding area, so he is officially cancer free for almost 2 years now. Although this is true, he has not been the same due to the side affects of the surgery. He describes it as having the feeling of a golf ball in his throat at all times. He is constantly gagging and is pain. His surgeon suggested plastic surgery to fill in the gaps where food gets caught in his throat to help the gagging, although he is unsure if this will help the pain he goes through every single day... in other terms, plastic surgery is a long shot. This is where l need your help. Do you have any ideas as to what could help my father get back on the right track to his normal self, and not feel the pain that he does every single day.
