General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Chronic headache is commonly due to tension/cluster headache, migraine or neurological disorder. Get Blood & Imaging tests done to rule out tumor, intracranial pressure issues or brain infections. You can take acetamiophen for relieve or sumatriptan. Avoid exposure in sunlight, stay in lightly lit room, take adequate water & rest. Back pain is due to poor posture, sprain/pinched nerve, slip disc, arthritis, osteoporosis. Get clinically examined & get blood & imaging tests done.

Your treatment will depend on the pathology detected. In the meantime you can take NSAIDS, naproxen. Apply ointments containing lidocaine & ibuprofen. Muscle relaxants & steroid shots work well. Do regular exercises & take salt baths.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
