What Causes Chronic Itching And Burning Hives On The Body While On Ambien?
I have a lot of itching and burning hives recently. Cortisone and antifungal creams are not working. I am diabetic and take several meds. Recently I have started taking ambien for sleep disorder. Can this be causing the allergic reaction I am obviously having?

Yes, Ambien can cause allergy and rashes. About 4 per cent people using Ambien have some allergy while about 2 per cent develop rashes as reported in the literature.
So it's quite possible that you might have the rashes because of Ambien. You can discuss this with Your doctor.
