Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my mother is 54 years old she is not diabetic nor high blood pressure and we have done some test and the result was creatinine 1.1 normal values 0.5 to 0.9 while uric acid 5.8 normal values 2.4 to 5.7 blood sugar random 96 and we have had many ultrasounds test done which says both kidney are normal in size and normal parenchyma means both kidneys are normal i am very worried while i checked on gfr which shows 57 and chronic kidney diseas stage 3a you suggestion will be appericiated
The creatinine, uric acid levels are not too concerning in your mother's case. Moreover, the normal imaging study results are also very reassuring. The eGFR (GFR estimated from serum creatinine levels) have a high probability of giving false low GFR levels.
So, I would advise repeating the kidney function test and urine analysis in 3 months. If eGFR still remain at concerning levels then further studies including measured GFR are warranted. Please be advised to discuss this with her treating physician.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Lekshmi Rita Venugopal,
