What Causes Chronic Pain After A Knee Reconstructive Surgery?

our 29 year old son had knee reconstructive surgery the fall after graduation - 10+ years ago. he developed staph and spent an additional 5 days in hospital. He now battles chronic pain and is currently on oxycodone. he has been on methadone in the past. His father did not feel comfortable with him taking it tho, so he quit even tho he felt better mentally when he was on in. He is now terribly depressed, saying he has no future due to the pain and not being able to walk any distance or stand for very long at a time. Doctors apparently are afraid of lawsuits with any further surgery due to the staph. What is our best answer to help him feel that he can have hope and feel good about himself again? Hopefully, he can have a knee replacement??

This is an unfortunate condition.but there is no need for depression as modern day knee treatment are fairly advanced and many salvages are possible for giving relief, only thing is one has to repose faith and trust in modern treatment and doctors with us. What nature and God provides cannot be absolutely replaced by human doctors but many positive results are possible,one has to take a chance for improvement instead of lying lowin which case nothing would change.So, see a knee specialist and let him decide,weighing all pros and cons.Probably,he is too young for knee replacement but other conservative, physical, and surgical alternatives can be available.best healer is the patients faith and intent to get well.
