What Are The Causes Of Having Bleeding From Ear And Ear Pain?
My daughter of 18yrs is in hospital getting checked now for ear pain and blood discharge ,What are other Possible causes of bleeding discharge from ear pain on onset yesterday morning all night last night chronic pain 2am no evidence apparent of ear drum perforation pain eased feels blocked
Hi and thanks for the query, Your daughter may be having ear infection. Due to infection when the drum ruptures there will be bloody discharge. Pain will be very severe but will be relieved when the drum ruptures. She will need a pain killer. She may require an oral antibiotic and local ear drops. Other general measures to be followed are. 1) Keep her ears dry. water should not enter the ear. 2) Do not probe the ear or try to clean the ear. Ear infections are very common. Nothing to worry. If treated early and adequately the drum heals perfectly. Regards, Dr Kishori.
