What Causes Chronic Pain In Between The Shoulder Blade And Arm?

My name is Bob. I am 67 years old and in very good condition. 2 days ago I started getting pain between my right shoulder blade and shoulder, but more in the area of my lat. I also experience pain in the same area if I bend over, as for example to tie my shoe. I have pain in my shoulder area, if I attempt to raise my right arm more than 90 degrees. I just asked my wife to poke around between my shoulder blade and arm pit and I had considerable pain although it seems to move around. Obviously, I m confused. I have no recollection of injury or trauma to the area.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It must be a muscular pain due to bad posturing. Go for hot fomentation and muscle relaxants (Orthodex), apply analgesic ointment (like Dolonex gel). If no response, see your clinician and go for relevant x-rays.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. AJEET SINGH, General & Family Physician
