What Causes Chronic Pain In The Leg And Groin Area After Hip Labral Tear Repair Surgery?
I had a labrum tear repaired in 2012 & I ve had continued pain in my leg, bursa and into my groin area. Now I also have continued aches & pain in my gluts. The worst is in the top of my thigh and wraps around to labrum area. I ve been to 3 hip surgeons who recommend a hip replacement. One says he didn t know for sure and has sent me to a back surgeon. He thinks I should take care of my hip and my siatica and hip region will get better. I need an orthopedic surgeon that is willing to help me get to the bottom of this. Can you direct me, I live in the Chicago area?
The chronic pain in legs and groin area after hip labral tear repair indicates possible fibrosis of the surrounding regions of the repair. Kindly get a fresh MRI report of the hip region and get back to me with report or plates of the same so that we can discuss in details the further possible proceedings.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
