What Causes Chronic Sciatica Pain And Severe Constipation?
Hi I have sciatica ,periaformis syndrome I have been struggling with this for a year and a half. But in the last month I have been constipated it s awful I don t feel like I need to go but when I do my left butt cheek hurt so I have a hard time sitting down .Can my back problem mess be causing this?
To avoid constipation stay well hydrated, take fiber rich food, veggies, fruits, berries, papayas & whole grain food. Avoid oily junk food. Avoid bananas (raw) & food that cause constipation. You are suggested to take Dulcolax or any other laxative regularly at bed time to get rid of constipation.
For sciatica you can take NSAIDS (Ibuprofen or Naproxen) or muscle relaxants to get rid of pain. You should take the help of a physiotherapist for regular physical therapy for improvement in strength & flexibility. Application of ice packs is also effective, massage treatment & walking are helpful.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
