Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband has been having sneezing fits ever since he started taking some different heart and/or high blood pressure medications in July. He had been hospitalized with A-Fib and CHF in late June and early July. His heart now is working totally normally and the doctors said he is cured! This was a surprise to everyone, since this rarely happens to someone whose output was at 10%. Anyway, ever since he started taking the new medications, he has periods when he just sneezes and sneezes. Is there a relationship with heart and/or high blood pressure medications that can cause this? The doc has not had him stop any of the meds given for the A-Fib or CHF yet, as they wanted to wait 6 months to make sure his heart is really normal again. Thank you for any insight.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Well, medicines that are prescribed do not have such side effects. Continue with the medicines, but keep informed about the situation to your treating doctor. Since your husband was admitted for quite some time in the hospital, he could have got 'Hospital acquired infection". Non-allergic rhinitis sometimes causes chronic sneezing, it can be due to some irritant in the air, weather changes or some odor. Visit ER or an ENT specialist to rule out sinusitis or any other developing problem. You can give him histamines for relieve.
Hope I have answered your query,
take care.
