Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello I have had (what I assume to be) a swollen lymph node in my neck/throat for years now. I have been to the ENT and they didn t seem too concerned and told me it could be a lymph node or a cyst. Never a definite answer. It feels hard but moveable. and worries me. I always feel like crap even though my blood work is always fine. I have a constant heartbeat in my left ear and I think the lump in my throat is what s causing it. If I push on the lump the pulse in my ear goes away. I want to feel better what should I do? I feel like I have a terminal illness. I m also worried about skin cancer. if I had skin cancer would it cause just one lymphnode to swell and slowly kill me? I dont have health insurance at the moment But I m scared.
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, most of the lymph nodes in the area of neck region could be normal one and it could be physiological appearance, in absence of clinical symptoms this is nothing to worry, if this is the fever, fatigue, loss of appetite then it could be due to some infection, you have not mentioned anything about the age and gender, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
