What Causes Chronic Thigh And Buttock Pain?

I have had this on going pain , in my upper left thigh for 7 months plus. It just keeps increasing and getting worst! They think its from falling down and breaking my back, in December, but that is a misdiagnosis! So far, my back is healing fine, but my thigh and buttock are getting worse. Pease what is your advice? The pain is not getting better. Medicine, physical therapy, acupuncture or massages haven t helped !

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Noted your history about having falling and getting pain in back, left upper thigh and buttock, failed medicines, acupuncture and massage.
First of all you should get an MRI of the lower spine and hip joint along with the soft tissue imaging to know the exact cause.
Clinical examination with correlated MRI report helps further.
Once the proper cause is found then only it is possible to have a specific treatment.
7 month is a long time to suffer.
Take rest.
Painkillers only if needed.
Avoid any activity that gives more strain and increases pain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
