I 5:00 pm after eating toast I had severe vomiting with lasted several hours. The prep called for the first 24hrs of clear fluid, and then metamucil over the next 24 hrs. I weigh 101 lbs. Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

In many of the instances, vomiting persist for even 24 hours beyond post anesthesia recovery, which is normal individual body response.

I would like to admire your further doubts anytime.

Take care.
