What Causes Chronic Vomiting And An Altered Sense Of Taste?
My sister in law 36 years old lady is having intermittent nausea and omitting. She starts omitting first thing in the morning and few times every day. She starts omitting as soon she eats anything and throws out every she eats. Ther is no other symptoms or pain. She is active when she does not omit. When she feels nausea she gets a funny taste in the mouth. Please diagnose and tell me what is the treatment or medication. Awaiting your reply now. Thanks for diagnosing this.
I had gone through medical presentation of your sister in law and understood the actual situation. Vomiting after eating is a very common condition in middle aged people. There are many causes which lead to chronic vomiting after a meal. Common causes are gastritis, viral gastroenteritis, morning sickness, intestinal obstruction, indigestion etc.
There are different symptoms for different causes. In case of your sister in law, there were only vomiting and altered sense of taste. So all causes can be excluded except indigestion. So the probable cause of vomiting was indigestion.
Indigestion can occur directly by deficiency of enzymes responsible for digestion or secondary to some other GIT problems (GERD, ulcer, gallstones, pancreatitis etc). In this case, as there are no signs of other problem, we can suspect enzyme deficiency. It is better to go for ultrasound abdomen to confirm exclude all other causes.
