What Causes Chronic Vomiting,fever And Diarrhea Despite Having Pneumonia?

my daughters partner (female)has been sick for 3 weeks, had influenza type A which turned into pneumonia. Had vomiting x 1week, fever x2weeks and now has diarrhea x3week with edema and shortness of breath. was d/c from hospital with a dx of Epstein-barr. was home x1week now back in hospital.

Hello

As you explain the situation it seems that she has undergone a complication of pneumonia with a bacterial overgrowth and probably a pleural liquid. She should do a chest CT scan first to detect better what is the exact problem.
