What Causes Chronic Weakness, Fever And Rash?

My brother has currently had 4 doctors who suspected lymphoma or sarcoidosis, but the biopsies are negative. He got very ill with a rash, flu like symptoms, night sweats and weakness about a month ago. His pet scan and ultrasounds indicated a problem with his lymph nodes and spleen. But, that isn t proving to be the case. What doctor should we see now, and what could it be?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
welcome.

Thanks for consulting. Lymph nodal and splenic problems may or may not be due to spread of tumors or other diseases from rest of the body. Cancers also spread through lymphatics from other areas of the body. Lymphomas also involve nodal tissues. Anyway its a long discussion. Coming directly to your question, you should consult an Oncologist for further details and help.

Hope it helps and makes things better for your brother.

Regards!
