What Causes Chunky Green Discharge When Suffering With Chlamydia?
Hello, I had chlamydia about 10 months ago and I was treated as well as my partner. I am still with him. I have been dealing with discharge all different types in the time between now and then. Sometimes it is chunky and green, sometimes white, and there is no smell. The other week I had sex and it was small and looked like a bunch of dried up toilet paper. I have no itch or redness. I use baby wipes a lot just to feel clean. The time I was diagnosed they also put me on birth control could that be the problem?

General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi Thank you for asking HCM I have gone through your query. Those who taking birth control pills can have abnormal vaginal discharge. But greenish discharge is seen in conditions like trichomonas. A pelvic examination by a gynecologist and vaginal swab test is well appreciated to rule out the condition. If it is trichomonas then metronidazole therapy will be beneficial. You can use intimate wash regularly which helps to keep the normal vaginal PH and flora. This will help you prevent from infections. Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear. Thanks.
