What Causes Circular Ring Like Formation Inside Iris?

Hello, I have a question that may seem silly but it worries me. Recently, I have found a kind of a ring or a groove in a shape of half circle inside my iris that was never there before. Is it possible for iris to change, and is it possible for these rings to only develop in one eye? I m worried because I have very bad dry eye problems and over the summer I get these spots in my eye that stick to the eye and cut sharply when I blink (a doctor told me it s remains of the dried tears), and the groove begins just where this sharp spot always appears. Thank you.

Hello,

Iris is a pigmented area of the eye and minor changes are quite common. Consult an ophthalmologist and he will direct you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
