What Causes Circular Sores On Inner Thigh And Labia Majora?

I ve noticed some circular floor burn like sores on my inner thigh and labia majora. It started while I was on my period last week and I assumed it was because of my pad. My period ended and I m still getting them. I thought it was dry so I put lotion and neosporin on it. They just feel raw and uncomfortable, they re not bumpy just flat and have a leaky discharge. I am sexually active but we re always careful

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I have read your description and understand your concern.
The lesions what you are describing appears to be superficial bacterial infection of the skin, may be preceded by an allergic skin reaction.
Kindly do the following to overcome it.
1. Clean the area with antiseptic solution like Povidine-iodine thrice daily.
2. After drying, apply Neomycin cream topically over the lesion.
3. Take anti-inflammatory analgesic Tablet. Ibuprofen after food.
4. Wear loose fitting undergarments and avoid friction in the area.
5. Apply moisturizer lotion over the lesions at bedtime.
In case the lesion does not get better in 2 to 3 days, you need to take a course of oral antibiotics like a combination of Amoxicillin with Clavulenic acid.
Maintain good genital hygiene and keep the area clean and dry. Abstain from sexual activities till the lesions heal completely.
Gradually, the lesions should reduce and subside completely.
