What Causes Clay Colored Stool While Taking Hydrochlorothiazide?
58 yr old black male taking blood pressure meds, metformin. Was taking hydrochlorothizide but it caused a sever abdominal pain and nausea. was switched to a drug called chlorthalid to replace the hcltz. take 12.5 mg 1x per day. yesterday am stool was clay colored. today's a small portion at the tip of the stool was chalky white with the rest normal. Suspect its the new meds. What do you think?
