What Causes Clear Fluid Leakage During 33 Weeks Of Pregnancy?
After I urinate I am pretty sure I completely empty out my bladder but today I have had a liquid trickling out when I go to stand or slightly lean to wipe. I am not sure if this is urine or amniotic fluid. I have tried ph strips but I am confused because when I test the liquid coming out it is between a 7.5 and 8.4 but if I use a q tip to swap with i get a 6.2. So my question is, what is the possibility I have a slow leak in my water. I am 33 weeks pregnant.

Usually clear or watery discharge during pregnancy is normal and that may indicate that your body is doing well to keep you and your baby healthy. During third trimester of pregnancy, a female natural sex hormone called estrogen becomes increased and higher levels of estrogen can cause more blood to flow to the pelvic area and more blood flow can stimulate the body's mucous membrane and that may cause the extra discharge. Again, that clear or watery discharge can be amniotic fluid which may leak slowly or gush out. Leaking amniotic fluid can be a clinical feature of Preterm Premature Rupture of Membranes or PPROM and is associated with 30-40% of preterm births. So, if someone notices clear or watery discharge during pregnancy, then she should consult her doctor promptly for checking amniotic fluid leakage.
