What Causes Clear Foamy Phlegm And Soreness In Throat?
Hi I m Kristene and I ve been having a clear bubbly phlegm for a month. I thought of it to be normal but it has gotten my throat to be really sore that it s hard for me to talk now. I get tired in conversation and i cant even sing anymore. I have noticed that my coughing reflex is triggered everytime i m exposed to a cold or low temperature room. Do you think i just lack certain vitamins?? I was thinking about my current job. I work in the nursery and everyday we get to play in and out of the building where outside you get a 40 degree warm then you get a 20 degree aircon inside. Do you think this is one of the causes? Please bring my voice back.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have clear foamy phlegm and soreness in throat due to which you find difficulty in taking as well is mainly because of laryngitis or lung infection i. e bronchitis. I would suggest you to start with course of antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs. Avoid giving cold beverages. Giving warm chicken soup and lemon tea is very useful for this. Do warm saline gargles 3-4 times a day with lukewarm water. Its not just because of lack of vitamins and you should take diet rich in fruits rich in vitamin C as it will boost his immunity. Your job could be one of the cause for temperature variation and due to which you are suffering. Keep him sipping lukewarm water whole day. If symptoms keeps on persisting visit ENT specialist once and get it examined and start proper course of antibiotics. You should get an X-ray examination done to find out any pathology of vocal cords. Go for complete blood count and platelet count to rule out any thrombocytopenia and any hidden systemic pathology. Steam inhalation is another treatment option for resolving it.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
