What Causes Clitoris Swelling During Pregnancy?

Good evening doctors, My name is jay and i am mailing this in concern of my wife, whose age is 39 running, 9th month pregnancy, weight is 80 kg. approx. [current]. Just now, my wife complained that she is feeling some swelling in the clits, when i inspected, i found it true. is it normal or got to show to the gynec. ?? please advice, as there are already 2 miscarriages, and we both are in tension. Thanks.

You will have to find whether only clitoris is swollen or there is swelling on the feet and face also. Urinary infection or raised blood pressure during pregnancy can cause swelling. If it is spread all over, it can affect even the external genitals also.
Please get her urine examined.
There is another possibility of having some local infection - particularly fungal one. Please get examined from your Obstetrician to find out and treat if needed.
Is she having any curdy vaginal discharge? This indicates fungal infection.
These infections if left untreated may affect the baby - particularly eyes of the baby.
