What Causes Clogged Ears Despite Using Azithromycin For Abscess?
Just finished a course of azithromycin. Initial complaint was trauma in the ear canal after ear wax was removed by the doc. Blood and pus was removed as there was also a small abscess in the auditory canal Hearing is fine, but still feel the ear is stuffy . Why is that ?

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have clogged ears despite using Azithromycin for abscess . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like otitis externa , localize infection , allergy or wax buildup .
I would suggest you to apply dry warm compresses to external ear , keep your ear dry , cover them while bathing and take over the counter anti histamine like benadryl . Consult ENT specialist for proper diagnosis . You can be advised decongestant Oral as well as Nasal drips, Steroids along with antibiotics and anti allergic.
If required Pressure Equalization tubes can be placed in the ears to aid in easing drainage and maintain unclog ears. At times a surgical approach is done to drain out the fluid but it in cases that does not resolve with conservative therapy. Doctor may also prescribe antiviral if antibiotics is not working .
