Hi dear .

The symptoms you mention in query are pointing towards a condition known as ETD that is eustachian tube dysfunction or eustachian tube problem . Eustachian tube is a small tube that connects middle ear to oralpharynx and balance the pressure between the two . ETD occur when the tube get blocked fully or partially due to mucous produce by infections like upper respiratory track infection , post nasal drip and sinusitis , Specially when these infection left untreated . Sometimes it also get blocked due to allergy or allergic rhinitis . I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Your doctor will examine your ear canals and eardrums, and your nasal passages and the back of your throat to rule out condition like ear infection and water in ear . Doctor may recommend you few exercises like blowing air with closed nose and mouth ,swallowing, yawning or chewing gum . Doctor may also prescribe decongestant and anti inflammatory to reduce the swelling of the lining of the tubes , antihistamine and antibiotics ( amoxicillin at least for 10 days ) . Pressure equalization tubes will also be one of the treatment options .
