Anesthesiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Nosebleeds are most often caused by:
1) Nose picking or scratching the inside of the nose
2) Rubbing the nose often
3) Dry air - Home heating systems may dry the air in your home and also dry the lining of the nose
4) Getting hit in the nose or putting an object inside it
5) Blowing too hard
6) Colds or allergies
7) Nasal polyps

As your son has other symptoms like fever, nausea, vomiting and stomach pain, he needs detailed clinical evaluation and few tests like complete blood picture and peripheral smear. Please do consult a pediatrician for a specific diagnosis and appropriate treatment.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
