What Causes Cold And Chronic Cough?

I have a cold and a hacking cough. I have noticed for the last 3 days a strange odor in my nose. It goes where I go so it s not only indoors or outdoors, but everywhere I am. I remember noticing it a few years ago when I was hospitalized with these same symptoms, though much more severe. Is this odor somehow connected to the virus. I m not sure whether to see dr or not. Sorry to bother you. I didn t realize the cost for an answer. I don t have $15.00

Hi,

By your history and description, the possibility of viral upper respiratory tract infection (URTI) is more likely. So follow these steps for better symptomatic relief in URTI.
1. Drink plenty of fluids orally and keep yourself hydrated.
2. Do warm water gargles and steam inhalation 4-5 times a day.
3. Take Levocetirizine and Paracetamol combination.
4. Avoid hard to chew food. Avoid junk food.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Kaushal Bhavsar,
