What Causes Cold, Cough, Stomach Discomfort And Shingles?

Hi, I had a bout of cold and cough, followed by fluid filled blisters (mostly on left hand near my wrist and randomly on other parts of the body) and this morning discovered white cotton mucus-looking things in my stool. I had some stomach discomfort last night and early morning and it was mild. One doctor has diagnosed my blisters as shingles. The blisters are all dried now. I am concern if all the symptoms are related and are signs of a more serious issue? Thank you for your advice.
