Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Cold Feeling In The Abdomen While On Sertraline?
Stomach feels cold and all around gross inside. I m back on meds (100 mg Sertraline) so I m pretty sure that s the cause. I m only on my 2nd pill after over a week not taking it. Is there anything I can do to get rid of this feeling or do I just need to wait it out?
I would advise you to continue to use the pill regularly. Sertraline can not be taken a few days and then stopped. It has to be used regularly as the doctor prescribed it. It will take 1-2 weeks before the side effects start to fade and the desired effect starts to show up. So, just being patient and using the pill daily is the best course of action.
I hope this answers your query. I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.
Regards, Dr. Antoneta Zotaj General and Family Physician
