What Causes Cold, Fever And Diarrhea?

Hi, I caught a cold this weekend, diarrhea, intense headache, and a small fever. My doctor books at least 2 weeks in advance, so he cannot see me before the cold will be over. His appointments person gave him a message, and he sent a prescription to my pharmacy for a two-week course of Bentyl. I m reluctant to use it as it seems that it is for a long term condition, not a cold that will likely be gone in a week. I don t know if my doctor even got the right message, because the appointments person is not so good with English (welcome to California.) My biggest problem is the headache now - my stomach is better after two days of sickness. My inclination now is just to try to sleep and wait it out.
