Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have always had cold fingers and toes. This winter, I find I’m very sensitive to the cold in my fingers and toes. The last few days I’ve noticed a blanching—whiteness—in my left great toe along with some decreased sensation. There is also some whiteness present on the bottom of my foot beneath this great toe. I’m unsure what to make of it. Thanks
The possible causes are 1. Peripheral vascular disease. 2. Raynaud's phenomenon. 3. Systemic sclerosis. 4. Frostbite. 5. Cryoglobulinemia with antibody formation after freezing. Unless examination, it is difficult to say what it is, please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
