General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

After a fever, it is not uncommon for a baby's hands and feet to feel colder than usual. This is due to the body's natural response to cool down and regulate its temperature. However, if the baby's hands and feet remain cold for an extended period or if there are other concerning symptoms present, it may be worth consulting with a pediatrician.

It is also important to ensure that the baby is not overdressed, as this can lead to overheating and potentially cause further health complications. Dressing the baby in appropriate layers according to the room temperature is recommended. Additionally, monitoring the baby's temperature regularly is important to ensure that it remains within a healthy range.

If the coldness in the baby's hands and feet persists or if there are any other concerning symptoms, it is important to seek medical attention as soon as possible.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
