What Causes Cold Limbs While Sweating From Head In A Toddler?
My 16 month old son is cold to the touch on his arms & legs but his head is wet with perspiration when he sleeps. This is when he is wearing only a diaper or pj pants. If i have him dressed in anything more he will be drenched in sweat but body temp feels normal to the touch. Should i be concerned? This is not new, he s been like this since he was born.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
In absence of flu or any other infection, the symptoms of your child can b because he is too hot in the bed (draped well this causes a rise in body temperature & sweating of the covered part of the body is a natural reflex to bring down the temperature.
Please try to keep him covered with light drapes&clothes to maintain optimum body temperature.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
