What Causes Cold Sensation In The Right Foot And Buttocks?
I am 59 yr old Caucasian woman in good health and not on any medication. My right foot and toes feels cold when I am sitting mostly. It is fine at night while in bed. The feeling goes up the leg through the right buttocks and right labia. There is no difference in color between the right and left foot, but the right toes feel slightly cooler to the touch. This has been going on for the past 4 months. It goes away with vigorous exercise. I recently (last Dec 1) had right Peroneus Brevis surgery for longitudinal tear. They also repaired the superior Peroneal retinaculum as it was lax. I was non weight baring and on crutches for a month. I had been limping prior to the surgery since last March when I sprained that ankle. Since the surgery I have been experiencing Sural neuritis with hyperesthesia and prickly sensation at the right later aspect of the foot. There is also a Tinal sign when I tap below the ankle in the region of the repaired retinaculum. I have been vigorously massaging the area to break up scar tissue. Could these symptoms be caused by an entrapped Surat nerve, or damage to the nerve? What are your thoughts and recommendations? Thanks! Jenny
