What Causes Cold Sweats And Dizziness While Treating Vertigo?

My wife has had vertigo before and gets laid up for a day or 2. She takes Meclizine for it. Yesterday morning she felt dizzy and was able to work. She was fine last night. This morning she could not get up and around....cold sweats, dizzy, sweating. She tried to go to the bathroom and could not. The Meclizine isn t helping much and I am concerned. YYYY@YYYY

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

The symptoms of your wife seem to be related to benign paroxismal vertigo.
I suggest to continue using Meclizine hydrochloride three times a day.
I also recommend to avoid salt in the diet.
If the symptoms continue she should consult an ENT specialist.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
