What Causes Confusion And Blackouts Upon Standing For Long During Pregnancy?

I am 19 weeks pregnant and when I stand for more than 20 minutes I get this feeling of being deathly ill and then I go into a state of confusion and I then get blackouts before I catch myself from falling. What could be causing this if its not my sugar and if I m not anemic

Hi,
Welcome to HCM,
I read your query carefully.
As per details,
There are possibilities
1)You may have anemia but due to anemia it cannot happen until unless your hemoglobin levels are too low like 6 or below 6g/dl
2) It can be due to your sugar levels.
May be your sugar levels drop to that extent causing hypoglycemic and in result you are having blackouts
3) More importantly it can be your BP issue.
May be at that times your BP is too low OR too high
I would advise you
> Go for your baseline investigations
like complete blood count,
Blood sugar levels.
> Keep an eye on your blood pressure and blood sugar levels.
> Visit your gynaecologist.
>Improve your diet( take balanced and healthy diet)
> Take Iron & Calcium supplements
> Get your ultrasound done to check the status of fetus.

Hope so it will be helpful.
You can write again in case of any query or follow up.
Wish you Good health.
Regards
