What Causes Congenital Hole In The Nose With Slight Bleeding?
my baby is 1year and 2 months old...he has a small hole on nose from birth..i thought its a birthmark..but a month ago it has drop drop blood coming out of it for few hours..i consulted a doctor and was l,ike that its a fistula...then i consulted a second doctor he said that its a cyst..and has infection on it...i am medicating him for infection...please tell me what it can be...and is it something to worry or not..
It could be a sinus tract. This is an opening through the skin surface that contains a tube-like structure that goes beneath the skin and varies in length from short to long.
There is frequently a small amount of yellow pus or blood in the opening.
The best specialist to evaluate your infant will be a pediatric ENT physician.
He/she will most likely want your baby to have an imagining study of his nose to determine where the possible tract goes and how long it is.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
