What Causes Congested Nose With Blood In Mucus Discharge From Nose?
I have had a bad cold and have been blowing my nose sometimes very hard. Yesterday I realized that I was blowing out large quantities of blood, not just like a regular bloody nose but containing what appears to be lines of coagulating, dark red blood like veins. My sinuses were bleeding so bad that when I laid down on my side I could actually feel the blood dropping into my mouth. The drainage down my throat has not returned but the rest has continued throughout today. Should I be concerned, it appears that my right nasal passage is plugged up because of blood and not simply because of my cold. Oh yah, the cold has been diagnosed as pneumonia and have had it since March 31.
HI Well come to HCM In case of allergic condition viscosity of mucus remains very high and it is being stuck to the nasal wall if you blow the nose with force to expelled this out, so it get out with the pilling off the micromembrane (Mucus membrane ) and this may cause bleeding so avoid blowing the nose without reducing the tenacity of mucus and better to reduce the viscosity with "Pseudoephedrine" drink lot of water, have hot drinks, try steam inhalation, blow the nose very gently, hope this information helps, take care.
