My child is having mild fever (around 97.7 to 98.3 F) for last 5-6 days. She is also suffering from running nose since then and had conjunctivitis also 4 days back. She has been on treatment with Bricanyl syrup only as doctor prescribed it as cold due to season change. Also, conjunctivis is also in control as Obra eye drop (prescribed by opthomologist was used). Please advise as she often has such running nose and cold/cough.
Hello It seems from the history that your child is having fever, cold with conjunctivitis. This is usually because of infection either bacterial or viral. The treatment as advised by your doctor is in right direction and you can continue it. The common causes for recurrent runny nose in children are allergies, adenoiditis, tonsillitis, sinusitis... Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.
Thank you
