What Causes Constant And Severe Pain In Left Side Of Head And Ear?

Hi. I have had constant, sever pain in left side of head, ear and eye with swelling and redness for years. Also, have burning coughing episodes 3 a day for years. No one knows what the cause is after many tests and lab work. I am 78 and need relief from these symptoms. Any advice on what to use to give me relief. The three episodes of coughing last 2-3 hours and my quality of life is diminishing. Please help me!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

First of all it's sad to know what you had been going through lately. Based on the history you have shared, this seems to be chronic sinusitis of the left side and you should get your Xray PNS done and consult ENT surgeon.

I hope a short course of antibiotics and good steam inhalation with some analgesia will help you.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
