General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Losing mucus plug is the stage just before going into labor however 4 cm dilatation is a stage under active labor. I would recommend you to visit the hospital where you are planning to get delivery conducted.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Anoop Kumar, General & Family Physician
